All driving courses are held in Tallinn.<\/strong>
Below you will find a brief overview of the requirements and steps to start your training for each category.<\/strong><\/p><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

B-category<\/p><\/td>

A-category<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Course Information (Category B)<\/h3>

Training vehicle:<\/strong>
Passenger car with a registered mass of up to 3,500 kg<\/strong><\/p>

Theory training volume (including e-learning):<\/strong>
30 \u00d7 45 minutes<\/p>

Practical driving training volume:<\/strong>
28 \u00d7 45 minutes<\/p>

Minimum age to start training:<\/strong>
15.5 years<\/p>

Minimum course duration:<\/strong>
4 weeks<\/p>

Training vehicles:<\/strong>
Toyota, BMW, Toyota (automatic transmission)<\/p>

Theory Training<\/h3>

Theory lessons take place both in the classroom and via e-learning<\/strong>.<\/p>

When choosing e-learning, 6 \u00d7 45 minutes<\/strong> of the total theory training must be completed in the classroom<\/strong>, where we cover topics required by the national curriculum and discuss questions that arise together with the instructor.<\/p>

The theory course concludes with a school theory exam<\/strong> conducted in the Liikluslab<\/strong> environment.
The number of correct answers required to pass the exam is equivalent to the national theory exam requirements<\/strong>.<\/p>

E\u2011Learning Platforms<\/h3>

We use the following e-learning platforms:<\/p>

  • Liikluslab.ee<\/strong><\/li>
  • E\u2011driving school of the Estonian Driving Instructors\u2019 Association<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

    Access to both platforms is provided free of charge<\/strong> to all our students.<\/p>

    Training Facilities<\/h3>

    Our classroom is located in Tallinn, P\u00e4rnu mnt 41a, 2nd floor<\/strong>.
    All theory exams and required interim assessments also take place at this location.<\/p>

    Practical Driving Training<\/h3>

    According to the national curriculum, a minimum of 28 driving lessons<\/strong> is required for all students.
    One lesson equals 45 minutes<\/strong> (academic hour).<\/p>

    If additional lessons are needed, students may book as many extra lessons as required<\/strong> until vehicle control is fully confident and the student is ready for the national driving exam<\/strong>, meaning all required learning outcomes have been achieved.<\/p><\/td>

Category A (Motorcycle)<\/h3>

Requirements to start training:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Minimum age:<\/strong> 24 years.<\/li>
  • Prerequisite:<\/strong> Must hold a valid Category B, C, or D driving licence (Note: holders of an initial\/provisional licence are not eligible).<\/li>
  • Upgrade option:<\/strong> Holders of a Category A2 licence for at least 2 years.<\/li><\/ul>

    Privileges:<\/strong>
    Right to drive a motorcycle with an engine power exceeding 50 kW<\/strong>.<\/p>

    Category A2 (Motorcycle)<\/h3>

    Requirements to start training:<\/strong><\/p>

    • Minimum age:<\/strong> 17.5 years.<\/li>
    • Prerequisite:<\/strong> Individuals who already hold a driving licence.<\/li>
    • Note:<\/strong> Individuals without a prior driving licence can also apply for Category A2 (please note that this involves a larger volume of study\/lessons).<\/li><\/ul>

      Privileges:<\/strong>
      Right to drive a motorcycle with an engine power not exceeding 35 kW<\/strong>.<\/p>

      E-Learning and Theory Exam<\/h3>

      We use the following e-learning platforms:<\/p>

      • Liikluslab.ee<\/strong><\/li>
      • E-driving school of the Estonian Driving Instructors\u2019 Association<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

Final-Stage course<\/strong><\/p><\/td>

Initial-Stage Skid Control Training
<\/strong><\/p>

The part of the basic Category B course<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Course Content<\/h3>
  • Eco-friendly, safe, and considerate driving mindset:<\/strong> Behavior in slippery road conditions (2 theory lessons).<\/li>
  • Skid control risk avoidance workshop:<\/strong> (1 practical lesson).<\/li>
  • Advanced eco-friendly and risk-avoiding driving:<\/strong> Deepening the safe and considerate driving style (1 driving lesson).<\/li>
  • Skid control risk avoidance exercises on the track:<\/strong> (1 driving lesson). These exercises are conducted on a specialized skid pad available year-round.<\/li><\/ul>

    Cancellation Policy<\/h3>

    Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled training.<\/strong><\/p>

Initial-Stage Skid Control Training<\/h3>

To obtain a driving licence for Category B<\/strong> or Subcategory B1<\/strong>, students must complete skid control training as part of the initial stage of basic driver training.<\/p>

The initial-stage skid control training consists of:<\/p>

  • Two theory lessons<\/strong><\/li>
  • One practical driving lesson<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

    Upon successful completion of the training, the instructor will make the appropriate entry in the student’s study card (learning record)<\/strong>.<\/p>

First Aid Training<\/p><\/td>

First Aid Training<\/h3>

According to Section 100 of the Traffic Act<\/strong>, every applicant for an initial driving licence must complete a first aid training course. The total volume of the training is 16 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>

Course Structure at Testudo:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Theory:<\/strong> The theory part is completed independently via e-learning<\/strong> before the practical session. Study materials will be sent directly to your email.<\/li>
  • Practical Session:<\/strong> A 2-hour practical session<\/strong> takes place in the classroom, concluding with a final test.<\/li><\/ul>
